LG G3 Prime and G3 Stylus smartphones pegged for IFA 2014 launch

LG G3 Stylus

The LG G3 is the best smartphone around and it looks like there will be new versions soon in the form of the G3 Prime and G3 Stylus. See also: The best phones you can buy in 2014.

The Korean firm recently announced the G3 S (or Beat in some markets) as an effective G3 mini but it looks like the range won't end there. For starters, LG accidentally showed off the G3 Stylus in a video (now removed) and could be a rival to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

You can see the G3 Stylus alongside the existing models complete with a, well, stylus and a larger screen than even the 5.5in flagship device. There's little known about the specs but PhoneArena touts that the Stylus (aka LG D693) will have just a 540 x 960 qHD resolution which seems a bit strange. We would expect at least 720p if not Full HD.

It's no surprise that LG is expected to announce the G3 Stylus as IFA 2014 which takes place in Berlin next month.

It is at this show where LG is also thought to be revealing the G3 Prime, another iteration of its flagship Android smartphone, according to Geeky Gadgets.

The LG G3 Prime is rumoured to come with the same screen and camera as the G3 but will similar specs to the Korea-only G3 Cat 6 – a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz and 3GB of RAM.

Last but not least, LG could be unveiling a second version of the curved screen G Flex smartphone at IFA.
