The Walking Dead video game follows a different story to The Walking Dead TV show, which is set to enter its fifth season soon. Just to clarify, this article talks about The Walking Dead: Season 3 the video game's release date rather than The Walking Dead: Season 5 the TV show's release date.

The Walking Dead: Season 3 release date
Telltale Games confirmed that there will be a third season of The Walking Dead video game during San Diego Comic Con on 26 July 2014, much to the excitement of its fans.
The Walking Dead video game is as much about the story as it is the gameplay, with a point and click style that focuses heavily on decision-making. Therefore, it's understandable that fans want to know whether the story is going to continue for a third season, and are eager to find out what the future holds for the characters they have followed throughout the first two seasons of the game.
Season 2 of The Walking Dead game began in December 2013, and the final episode has yet to be released, despite Telltale Games' announcement of a third season.
While The Walking Dead: Season 3 has been confirmed, we think it'll be a long wait before we're able to play it. As mentioned above, the final episode of season 2 has yet to be released, and Telltale Games has already confirmed that it is busy working on Tales from the Borderlands and an adventure game based on Game of Thrones.
Expect Season 3 of The Walking Dead to begin in late 2015, perhaps even early 2016. We'll update this article with more speculation about The Walking Dead: Season 3's release date as soon as we have it.
The Walking Dead: Season 3 rumours
So far, we have very little detail about what's going to happen in The Walking Dead: Season 3. While Clementine was the protagonist throughout the second season, it's not yet been confirmed that's she will feature in the third season, and we've still yet to find out her fate in the final episode of the second season of the game.
